to Jardim Peri’
Just four years ago, Gabriel Jesus painted the streets of Jardim Peri to celebrate the Seleção . For the 2018 Fifa World Cup we painted those same streets to celebrate him.
Working for Iris Worldwide and adidas Football, I went to the very northern edge of Sao Paulo to direct the installation and then oversee the shooting of the films that was released as reactive social content for the 2018 Fifa World Cup. This project was just so fucking unique. Dog bites, rabies shots, a state of emergency, literally filming at gunpoint. Supreme diplomacy. Casting. Clearence. Made possible by rockstars Julian Duque, Luan Cardoso and Marcinho.
